The merchant strangers are five groups: merchant stranger householders (40s), merchant stranger non-householders (20s), broker non-householders (20s), non-householder factors and attorneys (20s), and Esterling merchant stranger non-householders (20s). A note is made, if applicable, on what stranger class they were in. Some of the Italians have been identified by Bradley in her PhD thesis, appendix 4. |
