Lists are given for status (householders, non-householders, various merchant strangers, householders and non-householders who did not pay, were too poor to pay or were deceased) rather than by wards. The merchant strangers are two groups: merchant stranger householders (40s) and merchant stranger non-householders (20s). A note is made, if applicable, on what stranger class they were in, and (if applicable) whether they had defaulted and their reason for doing so. |
