Notes: (For the original see C66/623, m. 3). Described as a 'native of Barg, under the obedience of the Duke of Golike'. This has been identified here as Burg, but may well refer more generally to the county of Berg, which had united with the county of Jülich in 1348, with the joint state being elevated to a dukedom in 1380. The castle at Burg was the original comital seat, before the capital was moved to Düsseldorf.
